more photos, info and booking

An enchanting Ocean front Villa completely renovated situated in the east coast of the fantastic island of Zanzibar, directly on the beach. As you step into this Villa you will immediately feel mesmerized by its beauty, informal luxury that meets island colors and traditions. The fully-furnished Villa consists of six-bedroom, each with private bathroom, and exclusive plunge pool, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and private beach garden facing the Ocean. The whole area is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and faces the amazing Indian Ocean. The villa was constructed by fusing a modern style with African styles, materials and furnishings and has been completely built by local workers. It is available a full staff service, a cook and the concierge of the Villa can help you for each service required. If you prefer, the Villa can be rented also as Self Catering with breakfast included and you can cook directly your lunch and dinner (ask for the formula you prefer to have the right quotation). The villa is located about an hour drive from the airport of Zanzibar on the east coast of the island. Close by there are other small resorts and private houses but on the whole the entire area is still very natural and completely different from the typical holiday resort areas. The ideal visitor is the one who loves self‐made holidays, who does not like crowded resorts or tourist‐package tours, but who is always in search of new discoveries and originality. The visitor will anyway experiences a complete range of specialized services (from the private transfer to and from the airport, to the catering in the villa) which offers a very good relation quality/price. You can spend your day just relaxing in the equipped garden with sun beds. The garden is direct on the beach and the sea is just one step ahead: you have only to keep an eye on the tide times. This is one of the most peculiar aspect of the island: when is low tide (usually around 12.00 p.m.) the sea draws back for about 200 meters till the coral reef and leaves the bottom of the sea free in its magnificent colors. Do not miss this experience and take a walk in the water up to the barrier reef...an image you will hardly forget!!! Alternatively there are several excursions you may well do. These are the main ones (also depending on the length of your stay): spice tour, dolphin tour, sailing trip (on the dhow, the local wooden boats), trips to nearby beaches (Paje beach, ‐which is considered the 4th most beautiful beach in the world‐ is just few Kilometres away or Michanwi or others), Day trip to Ras Nungwi (the top part of the island) with its Sazani beach, breath‐taking view, an enchanted place not to be missed. The journey to reach this destination is about 2 hours drive, so we suggest you to do it a couple of days after your arrival, when you are more relaxed so that you can enjoy the complete view of the island as the drive crosses the island from south to north, Visit of Stone Town, the capital city with its interesting spots, memory of the British empire, Visit of Jozani Forest home of a special race of red monkeys (the red Colobe). This is clearly noticed in the architecture. Stone Town is a place of narrow lanes, intricately carved wooden doors, towers, terraces and fabulous mosques. In 1964 Zanzibar united with Tanganyika to form the present day Tanzania, although it still enjoys a high degree of autonomy within the unified state. Zanzibar is an archepelago of islands in the Indian Ocean that lie 30km off the coast of Tanzania. The two largest islands are Unguja (usually referred to as 'Zanzibar') and Pemba. Zanzibar Town (including it's old quarter of Stone Town) is the capital of Zanzibar, and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Tourism and spices are Zanzibar's main industries are spices and tourism. It is often still referred to as the Spice Islands due to the production of cloves, nutmeg, pepper and cinnamon. Important cultural considerations Zanzibar has a long history of religious tolerance and although the islands are 99% Muslim, alcohol and tobacco are freely available. Visitors are, however, requested to show consideration for the culture of Zanzibar by dressing modestly and refraining from public displays of affection. When walking in towns and villages, women should wear clothes that cover their shoulders and knees. Men should not walk bare-chested or wearing swimming trunks. Many visitors refuse to cover up and this causes offense and often outrage amongst the local population, even though these feelings may not be directly expressed. As one sign says, “Short skirts are like nude” On the beaches swimwear is acceptable, but topless sunbathing is not. During the fast of Ramadan, it is considered the height of bad manners to eat and drink in public places or while walking down the street. Non- Muslims should not enter mosques unless specifically invited to do so. Only take pictures of people if you have their permission, and don’t peer too obviously through the doorways of private houses in Stone Town.
