Areias Brancos or White Sands sits next to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The long strand of surf soaked beach ends with the view of a palm tree lined headland. You can walk there, and when you arrive the next bay will be totally empty. This is the essence of this beach houses location..... a civilised wilderness, a Robinson Crueso experience. To the south, you have civilisation in the form of a chic surf shop, beach and town restaurants and small supermarkets for the daily essentials. An internet cafe is there to keep you in touch with the real world. There are beach bars along the shore with good quality food and drink. You eat with your feet in the sand, looking onto a turquoise sea.Beach house living...The beach house itself is fun to live in. Its most important feature for this climate is the large upstairs balcony.... lots of shade if you need it and lots of bright sun to bask in too. There are two outdoor showers to use to cool off or when you return from the beach. There is also a delightful pool with dolphin shower to enjoy. The 3 bedrooms are all simple and well furnished, with wardrobes, bedside tables, table lamps and seaward opening windows for that important evening breeze. Fans are provided in all rooms.Modern shower rooms have new ceramic finishes and sinks set into granite surroundsDownstairs the fun continues with your very own Brazilian bar in the corner of the lounge.... great for creating that dusk Caipirinha to be enjoyed on the outside terraces. The kitchen is roomy, with all essential modern appliances and an extra large fridge/freezer .There is an outside sink drainer and BBQ for alfresco eating. and a large ground floor terrace. The house is surrounded by palmtrees, and you can lie and chill in your hammock listening to the sound of the sea and the wind in the palms.Locally...The ocean is just opposite you and you can see it from the terrace. A 5 minute walk leads you to the beach. The sound of the surf can be heard when relaxing on the balconies and terraces, especially at night under the big moon and stars a plenty. A few hundred yards takes you to the village centre of Lucena where all essentials can be purchased. For bigger items why not go the the hypermarkets in Joao Pessoa, where you can get just about anything.... Brazilian style! You can get taxis or buses if you do not wish to drive but all essentials for a chilled out beach holiday are available locally.
