Beautifully restored Stone Cottage is a two bedroomed, two bathroomed, detatched house in Ciginj, a small village in the stunning Soca Valley. The cottage has a comfortable lounge with under floor heating and an open plan, newly fitted kitchen. Open plan stairs lead from the lounge to the first floor double bedroom with luxury en suite bathroom. This bedroom has french doors overlooking the garden, stream and the wooded hillside. The first floor landing leads to the second bedroom which is a twin bedded room (which can be made into a double),again with luxury en suite bathroom. There is off road parking for one car.
The Surounding Area Ciginj is a small village neslted in the Soca Valley. The surrounding area is predominately wooded hillside and mountains. The most equisite of Slovenias rivers, The Soca, especially popular for water sports and fly fishing , runs through the valley. Ciginj is on the southern tip of the Triglav National Park and the Julian Alps, criss-crossed with trails, enchanting streams, rivers and waterfalls. The area is perfectly suited to an activity holiday or a peaceful, relaxing break. All activities can be booked and organised locally. Although the beautiful Lake Bled is 75 kms away, it is easily accessible by a combination of road and local car train, an experience well worth the effort.
Local Facilities Ciginj is a pretty village of approximately 100 people. There is a bar and pizzeria restaurant open every day except Wednesday with outside seating, serving great pizzas. There is a small supermarket in the next village, Volce, 3-4 kms from Ciginj. The town of Tolmin, 7 kms, has numerous restaurants, shops and bars, banks, three supermarkets and a variety of small local shops. There is a 24 hour emergency medical service, doctors and dentists. Tolmin is a pretty town with a museum, church and the famous Tolmin Gorges. |
