The property is situated in a safe and peaceful location within the grounds of a Sri Lankan family home in Narigama at the south end of Hikkaduwa. It has a large well tended tropical garden with outdoor seating and a spacious verandah with banquette seating which serves as a sitting cum dining room.
The property is ideal for those wanting easy access to the beach, restaurants and bars while offering a tranquil refuge from the sometimes hectic Hikkaduwa social scene.
Facilities
The bedroom has a double bed with sprung mattress, mosquito net, air conditioning, two clothes hanging rails, a shelf unit, a writing table and chair and a mini safe. Bed linen and towels are provided (but not beach towels).
A cot bed suitable for a baby or toddler is available. The cot bed has a mosquito net.
A folding bed suitable for a child up to the age of 12 is available. The bed has a mosquito net.
(Please note that only two adults and one child can be accommodated.) The kitchen has a top loading automatic washing machine, mini fridge, kettle, toaster and a two-ring gas cooker. Crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils are provided.
The bathroom has a hot water shower, toilet with bidet shower and sink.
Shops, restaurants and money changing facilities are within walking distance, while banks offering ATM facilities, the bus station and the railway station are only 2km away.
Activities
Narigama beach is a two minute walk away with its numerous restaurants, bars and surf points.
A wide range of sporting and sightseeing activities can be arranged including:
Surfing, snorkelling, PADI scuba diving, sea fishing trips, dolphin and whale watching, lagoon trips, water sports, organised bicycle rides through the paddy fields, motorbike/scooter/bicycle hire
Day trips to a low country tea plantation, a cinnamon plantation, a turtle hatchery
