57985/AL - Registration Number The apartment is located in the very center of the Albufeira old town. It was built in the 1970s and has been well maintained and updated since that time. The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor of a small block. It is not suitable for those who cannot manage the steps up and down the spiral stone staircase. There is no lift/elevator. There are two double bedrooms plus a sofa bed. Maximum occupancy SIX. There is a fully equipped kitchen. There is heating and cooling (air-con) equipment in all rooms. There is a safe available for your use. Cars and parking You do not need a car in Albufeira unless you are planning to make many trips to other towns, etc. Almost everything you need for your holiday is within 10 minutes walk. Parking in the old town of Albufeira is very limited. Most are available only for residents with permits. The nearest available free parking on the street is 20 meters away, but this is not guaranteed to be available. Other free parking on the street may be available 100 - 200 meters away. Larger off-street parking areas are 300 – 400 meters away. These are also free but have no security. Airport drop-offs and pickups These are possible almost to the door in cars and small vans. Large vehicles (e.g. shuttle coaches or buses) cannot stop closer than 250 meters away. We can arrange airport pickup and return if you wish. Restaurants, bars, and shops The apartment is adjacent to two small restaurants and just 30 seconds walk to many more restaurants, cafés, and small bars. The noisy bars and clubs are further away, but more than five minutes walk. Although some noise at night is inevitable, you wont be too disturbed by loud music. There are a small supermarket 50 meters from the front door. A SPAR supermarket is about five minutes walk. Larger stores, including ALDI and LIDL, are 1 to 1.5km away. All supermarkets here are open all day. Every day, Sundays, and Holidays included EXCEPT December 25th and January 1st (all closed). On December 24th almost all restaurants, bars, and shops close early in the evening. Beach Albufeiras wide and sandy beach is two minutes walk from the front door. Banks/Cash Machines A cash machine (ATM) is 30 meters from the front door and several others in the main town square, 100 meters away. Advice - do NOT USE Euronet ATMs with a £ sterling card. You will receive a lower rate of exchange than with the Multibanco ATMs outside banks. Wifi / Internet /TV . Wifi is available throughout the apartment. The cost is included within the rental. We also have available a mobile wifi dongle which you may take with you when moving about the town or area. This is also included within the rental. You will find that almost every restaurant and bar in town offers wifi to customers. There is a 28in (70cm) flat-screen TV in the living room with HDMI ports for the connection of your own devices. You will be able to stream content from mobile devices to the TV without cable. Television is connected to worldwide satellite tv (Internet Streaming) therefore hundreds of TV channels in many languages are available. Smoking The apartment interior is non-smoking. Smoking on the balcony is permitted.
