I have several things I want when I travel to France from the USA - near a patisserie for croissant, parking that is free, great WIFI and usually air conditioning. This house had everything except the air but the photos and location allowed me to go ahead with our rental. The local patisserie (10 steps away!), a boulangerie around the block, a small market, a nice weeknight market where the whole town showed up with picnic tables set up and food to buy, a nice restaurant and a food truck on Friday night with fish and chips were all nice surprises. There is one parking spot right next to the house, but as it is on a smaller alley and I had a rental car, we opted to park the car in the town square which is a 3 minute walk for free. We were able to watch the World Cup Womens Finals on the downstairs cable TV and watched DVDs mainly Hitchcock movies upstairs on the 3rd floor. There were three fans available and we did use those in the evening for sleeping and for watching TV. Kitchen was nicely equipped but honestly, we ate out lunch everyday and did not use it at all! Our emails were answered promptly and we were met at check-in and check-out by our delightful hosts. There was no street noise perhaps due to the fans except on garbage pickup morning but that is to be expected. Thanks for allowing us to use your wonderful property.
