Davenport, Florida, is a quiet, small town neighbour of Disney World just off the beaten path. It is located southwest of Orlando near Lake Tohopekaliga and Lake Marion. With its central location, surrounded by rolling hills and land that was once used for citrus growth,
Davenport’s central location makes it a perfect spot to base your Florida vacation.
Situated along US 17, and just east of US 27, Davenport has remained largely unchanged by the tourism just to the north. The rolling hills of the Lake Wales Ridge, stretching south for about 100 miles from this point in northeast Polk, provide a perfect setting for the town of Davenport.
Disney World is less than thirty minutes away from Davenport and the town is also just minutes from Epcot, Universal Studios, Seaworld of Orlando, Wet & Wild, Gatorland, and much, much more.
Only two square miles in size, and with a population of less than 2,000, Davenport is nonetheless in the center of a booming residential area.
