This is a nice one bedroom waterfront apartment in Diklo. The owners are an elderly couple who returned to Croatia in their retirement and are very friendly. My mother likes to bake and may offer you some traditional cakes. She is an avid gardener and has her own vegetable garden in the village and will bring you fresh produce if you ask her for a freshly picked tomato or two.Diklo, the seaside villageDiklo is considered the elite area of Zadar. It's a village dating back to the 10th century. If you're looking for an old stone village on the seaside of the Adriatic, this is it! The sunsets are wonderful. In Summer, experience the beautiful sunsets on the water in front of the apartment. Enjoy a glass of wine and sit on the terrace or at the nearby marina. There are numerous seaside restaurants, cafes, markets, and a newsstand walking distance from the apartment. There is also a sports ground and tennis courts two minutes away. The Falkensteiner group of hotels in Borik is also nearby and offers everything a tourist might want to enjoy...saunas, massage, pool, bars, restaurants, jet skis, etc. Fun for young and old alike. Zadar, the old cityA visit to the walled Venetian city of Zadar is a must! Walk along the narrow traffic-free marble streets, through the cute alleyways lined with bars and restaurants, and along the Zadar waterfront. You can take a taxi or the bus which leaves from Diklo to Zadar every half hour. In Zadar, you can choose from one of the many tours offered to visit the islands of Kornati.
